MATH 319 Numerical Analysis I

This course introduces computer arithmetic and error analysis, numerical solution of linear and nonlinear algebraic equations, interpolation and least squares approimations, numerical integration and differentiation, eigenvalue problems, and an introduction to the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations. Emphasis is placed on efficient computational methods including the use of libraries and student written procedures in MATLAB.
