CHEG 416 Corrosion Engineering
This course presents fundamental material on corrosion and oxidation thermodynamics and
electrochemical thermodynamics. The course then describes commonly encountered corrosion
environments and discusses typical forms of corrosion encountered in each environment typical to the petroleum industry. Methods of corrosion control are then described, and the course concludes with a description of important corrosion and oxidation monitoring techniques.
