CIVE 653 Urban Design for Sustainability: Theory and Practice
This graduate course explores historical and modern urban design theories, focusing on debates, paradigms, and models of urban form and sustainability. It examines strategies for creating healthy, sustainable communities through lectures, readings, assignments, and workshops. Case studies of diverse cities illustrate the intersection of urban design and sustainability, with specific emphasis on the UAE's socio-political and geographic context.
