Non-Academic Student Conduct
The Student Services Office is responsible for reviewing all alleged violations of non-academic student conduct. Non-academic offenses are related to behaviors that disrupt the life of the University community. These offenses include, but are not limited to, the following categories. Students may submit non-academic grievances online through Khalifa University's portal for review by the Campus Life Department.
- Any behavior or appearance deemed by UAE or the University norms to be offensive to the culture.
- Failure to maintain professional and ethical conduct, including behavior that disrupts university operations, services, or administrative processes.
- Unauthorized entry and/or presence on university property.
- Threat, damage, and destruction of university property or the property of other members of the University community.
- Physical, verbal and/or online abuse, bullying, harassment of any type and dangerous activities.
- Supporting and/or engaging in any activity that is considered to promote extremist ideologies and radicalization.
- Attempted theft and/or possession of stolen property.
- Unprofessional communication, including but not limited to face-to-face interactions, written correspondence, telephone conversations, with any member of the KU community.
- Unauthorized or fraudulent use of university facilities, equipment or services.
- Misuse of library and information technology resources.
- Misuse of social media.
- Failure to abide by the KU dress code.
- Forgery or falsification of documents, including medical records, with intent to deceive.
- Failure to abide by the guidelines of the KU co-education policy (ACA 5300 Co-Education).
Behaviors deemed to be unacceptable may lead to a variety of sanctions up to and including student dismissal from the University. The University Student Handbook and website details University policies and procedures regarding student conduct regulations, hearings and sanctions.
