Undergraduate Catalog

AERO 350 Dynamic Systems and Control

The course focuses on employing mathematical methods to model dynamical systems and applying analytical solution techniques to the equations of motion. Students learn how to perform modal analysis on two-degree-of-freedom systems and learn about transient and steady-state responses, resonance, and state-space representation. The course also covers deriving transfer functions, applying control theories to design PID controllers and performing stability analysis in time and frequency domains.
