CHEM 351 Main Group Compounds: Structure, Reactivity and Characterization
This course introduces and reviews foundational concepts in inorganic chemistry; for example, solid
structures, advanced acidity and basicity, redox chemistry and its representations, and symmetry This
course describes the properties, compounds and chemistry of the main-group elements, with an emphasis on rationalizing trends and behaviors based on these foundational concepts, and introduces techniques to characterize and quantify inorganic species.
