MDCM 600 Practice of Medicine & Physicianship I

A combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training enables medical students to develop and refine essential skills required in the practice of medicine. Using patient simulators and standardized patients, students have the opportunity to practice: communicating with patients, eliciting medical history, conducting physical and mental status examinations, and performing basic procedures. Preceptorship experiences in a local hospital enable students to observe and participate in real-world patient encounters.
