CHEM 322 Organic Chemistry II
This course provides an introduction to the structure, conformation, stereochemistry, physical properties,
spectroscopy and reactions of organic compounds, such as aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones,
carboxylic acids and derivatives, and amines. Some of the important reaction mechanisms and advanced multi-step organic synthesis involving these compounds are discussed. Spectroscopy techniques such as NMR, IR, and MS are also covered.
