AERO 777 Aeroelasticity and Flight Loads

The course focuses on the aeroelasticity and flight loads of fixed-wing aircraft. Topics include an overview of aeroelasticity, Collar Triangle, modeling of aeroelastic systems, effect of structural flexibility on lift distribution, torsional wing divergence, Effect of wing flexibility on control effectiveness, control reversal, unsteady aerodynamics, binary flutter, frequency matching methods, gust models and gust response of aircraft, introduction to nonlinear aeroelasticity, and limit cycle oscillations.

Graduate-level courses in aerospace structures, structural dynamics (or advanced vibrations), and aerodynamics are required
