Graduate Catalog

ELEN 764 Advanced Antennas

The course covers advanced numerical modeling and analysis of electromagnetic problems encountered in a variety of engineering areas. In particular, the finite-element method, the finite-difference-time-domain method, and the method of moments are studied in details. The coverage is augmented by a set of relevant applications in electrostatics, magnetostatics, and electromagnetic field computation, wave transmission, radiation, and scattering. The course covers the recent advances in fast algorithms/hybrid numerical techniques and discusses their applications in a variety of problems.
