ELEN 789 Electrical Measurements

The course covers the techniques of measuring electrical variables such as current, potential, power, frequency, phase, and impedance. It offers in-depth treatment of modern measurement techniques, experimental methods, test equipment, compensation and filtering techniques. The topics include measurement error, noise and interference, expression of uncertainty, calibration and experimental design. It also provides detailed coverage of the relevant measurement standards. The course is augmented with laboratory sessions and it follows hands-on learning approach.
