AERO 470 Aircraft Design

This course addresses the principles and the iterative nature of the aircraft design process. Students are introduced to the conceptual design, blending synthesis and preliminary sizing of aircraft, followed by the calculations and optimization of aircraft stability and performance. Student teams perform extensive and design-oriented laboratory experiments, focusing on original student design, realization of experimental procedures, instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis.
