Master’s Research Milestones
Research milestones for Master’s students are summarized in the table below. The typical timeline is made with reference to regular academic semesters (i.e. Fall and Spring), however students are expected to continue to work on their research during the Summer Term.

.**Thesis Defense During Summer
Master's Thesis Defense During the Summer Term: Because the summer term is short, students defending their theses in the summer may do so up to two weeks after the official end-of-term date published in the University Academic Calendar. All thesis evaluation reports and grades must be submitted no later than one week after the defense
