COSC 498 Senior Design Project II
Senior Design Project I & II is a two-semester, team-based capstone experience in which students apply computer science principles to design and implement solutions to complex, real-world problems. Working in teams, students conceive, plan, design, implement, test, and evaluate a computing-based system, often in collaboration with industry or multidisciplinary partners. The project integrates knowledge from core Computer Science areas, including algorithms, software engineering, databases, and artificial intelligence. The course also emphasizes application of computing principles with realistic and ethical constraints. Students produce technical documentation, including a report on the responsible use of AI tools and sustainability considerations, and present and demonstrate their solutions.
