MEEN 455 Finite Element Analysis
This course introduces the fundamentals and applications of the finite element method (FEM) for structural and thermal analysis. The course covers spring, truss, beam, frame, 2D, and axisymmetric elements, with hands-on experience using commercial finite element software. Students also explore emerging applications of artificial intelligence and data-driven modeling such as Artificial Neural Network (ANN) in FEM to enhance simulation accuracy and engineering design.
