Academic Year
The academic year at Khalifa University consists of two regular semesters and a summer term. The two regular semesters which are referred to as the fall semester and the spring semester, consist of 15 weeks of teaching and final examinations period. The summer term lasts for five to six weeks of teaching. In the summer, a three-credit course meets for 90 minutes per day, four days per week. Due to the intense nature of summer coursework, students may take no more than two courses or six credits. In exceptional circumstances, the dean may allow a student to register for seven credits.
