International Student Services Office
The International Student Services Office (ISSO) at Khalifa University is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for our diverse international student body. Our mission is to support both KU students and international exchange students in their academic pursuits, cultural adjustment, and personal growth, ensuring they have a rewarding and successful experience at our university and beyond.
The ISSO is committed to:
- Creating and promoting opportunities for KU students to increase global educational and cultural exposure.
- Welcoming and integrating international students into our campus community.
- Providing resources and support services to KU and the international exchange students to help them succeed academically and personally.
- Promoting cross-cultural understanding and global engagement.
Our dedicated team works hard to provide the below services:
- Orientation Programs: We offer comprehensive orientation sessions to help our international exchange students settle into their new environment, understand the academic system, and meet other students.
- Study Abroad opportunities: We ensure that KU students are aware of available study abroad opportunities and support them throughout their application process.
- International Educational trips: We work hard to seek and organize international trips for KU students to enhance their learning and development
- Visa and Immigration Assistance: Our knowledgeable staff provides guidance on visa applications, renewals, and other immigration-related matters to ensure the relevant KU students and international exchange students remain in compliance with the UAE’s regulations.
- Academic Support: From advising services to workshops on academic skills, we are here to help our international exchange students excel in their studies.
- Personal and Cultural Support: We offer cultural adjustment workshops and social events to help students adapt to life in the UAE and make lasting connections.
