College Undergraduate Degree Programs

The undergraduate degree programs offered by the College of Medicine and Health Sciences are:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Engineering & Biotechnology
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Cell and Molecular Biology

 

The length of the undergraduate Biomedical Engineering & Biotechnology program is 129 credits. These credits include University General Education Requirements (GER, 48 credits),16 credits of additional Math/Science Requirements, as well as the Biomedical Engineering Core and Technical/Free Electives requirements of 65 credits.

 

The length of the undergraduate Cell and Molecular Biology program is 125 credit hours in 8 semesters (and 1 summer term). The program has been designed along the lines of similar Cell and Molecular programs offered by American universities. The 125 credits are divided into 48 credit hours of University General Education requirements (GER), and 77 credit hours of specific major requirements, as follows: (23 credit hours of Chemistry/Mathematics requirements, 48 credit hours of Biology core requirements, and 6 credit hours of humanities electives).
