BMED 424 Photonics for biomedical engineering and biotechnology

The primary objective of this course is to focus on the use and the modulation of light technology for medical applications, both at the diagnostic and therapeutic levels. The course emphasizes biophotonics sensing, biomedical imaging, optical microscopy techniques, and novel techniques of manipulation of light for therapeutic applications such as photodynamic therapies and laser applications.
