MATH 615 Abstract Algebra

This course introduces concepts and structures of modern abstract algebra, with a focus on the theory of groups, rings, and fields, with advanced topics such as Sylow theorems, isomorphism theorems, and Galois theory. Applications in other fields of mathematics are discussed. Emphasis is placed on precise reasoning and proofs of the key theorems.
