ROBO 697 Master's Thesis Defense
The Master's Thesis Defense is the final oral examination of the Master's program and represents the culmination of the candidate's independent research. The oral examination requires the candidate to submit their thesis and present and defend it orally before the Research Supervisory Committee (RSC), demonstrating the quality, scholarly merit, and technical soundness of the research, as well as the candidate's critical thinking ability, research competence, understanding of the research topic, and ability to communicate and defend the research methodology, findings, and conclusions. The possible outcomes of the Master's Thesis Examination are Pass, Pass with Minor Corrections, Adjourned and Re-examination (Thesis Only), Adjourned and Re-examination (Thesis and Oral Examination), and Fail, in accordance with the University's Graduate Academic regulations.
