BMED 352 Fundamentals of Biomedical Signal Processing

This course introduces analog and digital signal processing techniques, microcomputer systems, and their application to biomedical instrumentation and physiological measurements based on the knowledge of Biomedical circuit design. In addition to traditional signal processing methods, the course introduces artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning approaches for biomedical signal analysis. Emphasis is placed on both the theoretical foundations and hardware/software implementation of biosignal processing in medical instruments, equipping students with the skills to design modern systems that integrate signal processing and intelligent decision-making.
