CIVE 370 Introduction to Environmental Engineering
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of environmental engineering. The course addresses the prevention, management, and mitigation of environmental problems associated with water supply, wastewater management, air pollution control, and solid waste management. Students learn the fundamental theory, governing principles, and preliminary design concepts of environmental engineering unit operations. Data-driven modeling approaches, including regression analysis and artificial neural networks (ANNs) are used to support solutions to environmental problems using experimental and historical data.
