EENG 426 Well Construction and Production

This course examines the wellbore as the primary communication conduit between surface facilities and subsurface reservoirs. Comprehensive coverage is provided on well drilling design, drilling rig components and classifications, drilling fluids, casing design and running, and well completion. The course also applies Total System Analysis techniques to evaluate and design production systems from the reservoir, through the wellbore, to the production separator. Artificial lift methods, specifically gas lift and electrical submersible pumps (ESPs), are also covered.
