ESMA 201 Introduction to Engineering Systems and Management

This course introduces fundamental concepts in engineering systems and management. Emphasis is placed on management theory and systems-based approaches as applied within engineering contexts. Students examine key processes and techniques for managing engineering environments, including organizational dynamics and decision-making frameworks. The course also explores the leadership role of the engineering manager, fostering the development of professional attitudes and practices that support effective leadership and organizational success.
