Health policy is examined from an economic perspective. Basic economic theories and their relationships to the structure and function of healthcare system are explored. Alternative health care systems and health care reforms are also evaluated. Topics include cost estimation, cost control, business planning and management, profitability analysis, project cost management, and life cycle costing.
