Accelerated Master’s Program

The Accelerated Master of Science Programs allow exceptional senior undergraduate students to begin earning credits toward a Master’s degree while completing their undergraduate education.

Through the Accelerated MSc program, highly motivated students, in consultation with their academic advisors, can develop a study plan that enables them to complete both their bachelor’s and Master’s degrees within approximately five years.

The accelerated program allows eligible undergraduate students to enroll in a maximum of two Master level courses (total up to 6 credits). These courses may be counted toward both the undergraduate degree, by satisfying technical elective requirements, and the Master’s degree.

To be eligible for the Accelerated Master of Science Programs, students must:

  • Be in senior standing.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 3.5.
  • Maintain a minimum undergraduate CGPA of 3.5 throughout the program.
  • Earn a grade of B or higher in each dual-counted master’s level course.

Students wishing to apply must complete the Accelerated Master of Science Programs application form, available from the Office of the Registrar.

Admission to the program requires approval from the Scholarship Office, the student’s Academic Advisor, the Department Head, the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and finally the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies at the relevant College.
