AERO 440 Aerospace Propulsion

This course addresses the operating principles and performance of aerospace propulsion systems, focusing on the cycle analysis of air-breathing propulsion units. Students explore the mechanics and thermodynamics aspects of turbojet, turbofan, turboprop, and other emerging sustainable propulsion technologies and their environmental impact. This course also introduces the operating principles and performance of rocket engines with emphasis on analytical modeling and real-world applications in aviation and space flight.
