EPSS 300 Earth Data Analytics and Machine Learning

This course introduces the principles and applications of data analytics and machine learning within Earth Science. Students apply computational methods to collect, process, and analyze geophysical, geological, and remote sensing data. Emphasis is placed on interpreting Earth science datasets, evaluating model performance, and designing data-driven solutions to geoscientific challenges. Through real-world case studies in resource exploration, environmental monitoring, and climate analysis, students develop, integrate, and communicate analytical approaches that advance evidence-based decision-making in Earth science contexts.
