MATH 317 Nonparametric Statistics
This course presents the theory and practical tools from classical nonparametric statistics. Students
learn to determine the suitability of parametric versus nonparametric methods, with an emphasis on
applying procedures for testing hypotheses. This course discusses correlation and regression in a
nonparametric setting. Students are trained to select and use software to perform nonparametric
estimation and hypothesis testing on data.
