MEEN 360 Computational Methods for Mechanical Engineers
This course introduces the fundamental concepts and techniques of numerical analysis and their applications in solving problems related to mechanical engineering. It discusses various methods for solution of non-linear equations & system of linear equations and techniques for performing numerical differentiation & integration. The course covers the solution of ordinary and partial differential equations using both conventional and AI-based approaches. The latter employ Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) or its derivatives that are trained and verified on a set of provided data.
