PHYS 121 University Physics I

This course introduces the fundamental principles of classical mechanics and their applications to physical systems. Students develop quantitative problem-solving skills by modeling motion in one and two dimensions and applying Newton’s laws to analyze forces and interactions. The course emphasizes conservation laws of energy and momentum to describe system behavior, including collisions and rotational motion. It also covers equilibrium conditions and extends to oscillations and wave motion as essential concepts in physics.
