PHYS 132 Introduction to Electricity, Magnetism, and Optics
This course introduces the fundamental principles of electrostatics, electromagnetism and optics, with emphasis on field behavior and interactions with matter. The course uses basic vector calculus and integration techniques to explore the spatial and temporal distributions of charge, current, and electromagnetic fields. The course also incorporates laboratory activities and computational tools, including AI-assisted data analysis and visualization techniques, to enhance the exploration, interpretation, and comparison of experimental and theoretical results.
