AERO 335 Aerodynamics I
The course provides the theoretical background to inviscid, incompressible aerodynamics. Fundamental laws of fluid motion, the model of fluid as a continuum, and potential flow theory are presented and discussed. These concepts are applied to flows over airfoils and finite wings using analytical solutions and compared to experimental results and numerical simulations. Elements of viscous flows and boundary layers are introduced.
