CHEG 713 Food and Bioproduct Technology

Food and Bioproduct Technology is a multi-disciplinary field that encompasses biology, chemistry, physics, microbiology, engineering, and knowledge of technological processes into the production of food and bioproducts from plants, animals, and microorganisms. This course provides opportunities for students to understand a number of important issues facing in world’s agri-food sector including: the improvement of traditional foods and food processing, and development of novel functional foods and nutraceuticals using advanced technologies and conversion of underutilized agriculture materials into value-added bioproducts.
