CHEG 723 Heterogeneous Photocatalysis
This course aims to study the principles of heterogeneous photocatalysis and connect them to applications, namely H2 production, CO2 conversion, water and air treatment, and materials functionalization. The theory of photocatalysis will be presented discussing both thermodynamics and kinetics. The students will also learn how to use experimental tools for the synthesis and characterization of photocatalysts, and critically analyze former literature on the topic.
