PUBH 618 Infectious Diseases of Public Health Relevance

This course analyzes the prevalence and impact of infectious on public health systems and populations. Students will study the epidemiology, risk factors, and health care challenges associated with major infectious diseases, including emerging and other major vector-borne diseases, notifiable diseases, global viruses, vaccines strategies, outbreak management, conflict related infectious diseases, one health, the global spread of antimicrobial resistance and hospital outbreaks. Through case studies and data analysis, students will develop skills to inform public health initiatives and improve health outcomes for affected populations.
