PUBH 706 Doctoral Seminar
The purpose of this course is to equip PhD students with the necessary skills to analyze and evaluate published scientific papers effectively. In addition, the course aims to help students improve their presentation and discussion skills. During the course, participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss various published scientific papers related to public health and epidemiology. The course is credit-bearing for doctoral students and provides a valuable professional development opportunity for faculty and students. To participate in the course, students are required to select a peer-reviewed article and present it during the weekly session. Each week, two students will present their chosen articles. The articles selected for presentation should describe significant scientific advancements in public health research and must be approved by the student's academic supervisor. Through paper discussions, students will develop their problem-solving, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
