PHYS 231 Optics

This course introduces the fundamental principles and applications of optics. Laser principles and modern applications in imaging and photonics are also covered. The course provides students with a strong foundation in classical and modern optics, while developing the analytical and experimental skills to understand light–matter interactions, design basic optical systems, and appreciate the role of optics in science and technology.
