PHYS 322 Electricity and Magnetism II
This course advances and extends the fundamental principles of electromagnetism introduced in
PHYS 320, Electricity and Magnetism I. It encompasses the principles of conservation laws, electromagnetic induction, and electromotive force, culminating in a rigorous derivation of Maxwell’s equations and the analysis of electromagnetic wave propagation. The course also includes electrostatic and magnetostatic potential fields for static and moving charges, the theory of dipole radiation, and concludes with an introduction to relativistic electrodynamics.
