PHYS 345 Physical Optics
This course provides a solid foundation in physical optics, developing analytical and experimental skills needed to understand light–matter interactions and optical systems. It covers wave propagation, polarization, interference, diffraction, and Fourier optics using mathematical modeling and physical reasoning. The course also introduces fundamental concepts in laser physics, including beam propagation and optical resonators and highlights their applications in optical systems and photonics.
